Sundance Film Festival ’09…Eye C Snakes and Billy Gibbons.. January 27, 2009
So I had the opportunity to work with a band at Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, for a week this January. It was AMAZING. Here are some of the photos and a story about Billy Gibbons…
Before I left for Utah…my mother had only one request. She wanted an autograph from Billy Gibbons from ZZ Top. I told her that I’d do my best, obviously not knowing how any of this was going to work out. We went through the week, they played and I worked…we went snowboarding…we ate great food…mingled with celebs and musicians…it was quite an experience. So, we go to a show that Billy Gibbons was guesting…I got a pic of Billy and my boyfriend however they were rushing us out so no autograph for Big Debbie. I was a little sad but my week was so full that I called her to tell her the news. I could tell she was totally bummed but was happy that I was just there. I work another day and then it was all over. I’m at the airport on Wednesday afternoon, sipping on a few adult cocktails in the airport pub, reading a book about the sexual deviancy of America…turn around and there he is. So my dilemma was: just leave the poor man alone, he’s always bothered. I know I would be annoyed. Then the other side of me remembered my VIP press pass was in my purse, so I walked up to him explained who I was…he remembered me from the show..(I was right in front being obnoxious with my camera)..signed my VIP pass for my mom and gave me his personal email address to send him the pictures from the show. It was completely perfect. Needless to say, my mother said that I was the best daughter ever…
